Northern Coahuila, Mexico
PRICE UPON REQUEST | 50,000+ acres
Located in northern Coahuila, near the Texas border, this ranch is over 50,000 acres and has been owned and operated by the same family for well over 50 years. Very rare for remote ranches in the region, it has electric power to the headquarters and parts of the ranch supporting the water and cattle handling infrastructure. Improvements consist of 7 sets of working pens, 7 wells and over 30 stock tanks located throughout the ranch. A well maintained, fenced, registered airfield makes access convenient.
An excellent white tail deer population produces regular harvests of 160 + bucks. Other game and wildlife include turkey, quail (blue and bobwhite), hogs, several stock tanks stocked with bass, javelin, duck, dove (Whitewing, Morning and Eurasian), bobcat, mountain lion and black bear. Family and friends have enjoyed the hunting resource for nearly 20 years.
In past years, the ranch ran over 1,500 mother cows. However, ownership now keeps the herd to a stable level of about 600 mother cows in order to provide stocking flexibility. Presently the cow herd is under a well-organized AI program. To increase production and keep the stocking rate flexible, the ranch runs around 500 head of stocker heifers per year. All of the livestock are worked with a remuda of horses with excellent bloodlines.
This is a premier cattle and horse producer as well as a top tier hunting ranch. It is excellent for the buyer who wants a productive working ranch as well as a place to “get away”. Hiking, horseback riding, arrowhead hunting, pictographs viewing and fishing are favored extra activities. To complete the operation, the swimming pool, internet, direct tv and office are perfect to enjoy the day and evenings.
Driving to the ranch from Texas, convenient access is through either Del Rio or Eagle Pass.
Owner/management would consider continuing their participation with a qualified buyer.
