Meet James Sammons III
Jim’s Texas roots date back six generations to 1835 when his family immigrated to the state of Texas-Coahuila. Both sides of the family have been in the ranching business in Texas ever since. Jim’s adeptness to ranching and farming has been honed in Texas, South Dakota, Montana, New Mexico and Mexico raising cattle, sheep, goats and registered Quarter Horses as well as alfalfa and grain crops.
Living and working in Europe and Mexico gave him a love and appreciation for international culture and business. He acquired international marketing experience working with Philip Morris Europe in promotions throughout the continent. While living and ranching in Mexico he learned and used a high intensity rotational grazing method which both utilized and improved land. He knows and understands land management and what it takes for land to reach its best potential. He is fluent in Spanish and speaks some limited French. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing from the University of Texas at Austin.
Since 2001, Jim has been in the real estate business and is a broker in Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Missouri as well as working internationally. He served as a Director for the Greater El Paso Association of Realtors and as a member of the Budget and Finance Committee. In addition to state and national real estate organizations, Jim has also served on the International Committee for the Texas Association of Realtors. He is a member of the Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association. He formerly served as a Director for the Texas Sheep and Goat Raisers Association and for the West Texas Boys Ranch in San Angelo, Texas.
